Day 329 :Gabriel Visits Mary
Story Narration
Six months later, Gabriel had another visit to make. He went to a small town called Nazareth to a young woman named Mary.
Mary was a pure, humble, and holy young virgin from the house of David, betrothed to the righteous elder Joseph who was chosen to be her guardian.
Gabriel said, "Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you."
Mary was confused.
"Do not be afraid," Gabriel said. "You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. His kingdom will never end."
Mary asked, "How? I am not married yet."
Gabriel explained, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you. Nothing is impossible with God."
Mary bowed her head. "I am the Lords servant," she said. "Let it be to me as you have said."
Orthodox Theological Explanation
This is the moment everything changed. God was becoming a human baby!
Mary showed incredible faith. It was a scary thing to be pregnant before getting married in those days (people might judge her). But she trusted God more than she feared people.
The name Jesus (Yeshua) means "The Lord Saves."
Daily Christian Application
"Handmaid-to-the-High-One" is the "Servant-of-the-Source" who says "Let-it-Be" to the "Scary-Sacred-Secrets" of a "Throne-Room-Transformation!" Mary's "Favored-One-Faith" shows that "Humble-is-the-Handle" God uses to "Turn-the-Tide-of-Time." Don't "Fear-the-Frowning-Faces" or the "Nazareth-Noise." Just "Believe-the-Birth-Announcement," "Open-your-Inward-Innocence," and let the "Holy-Spirit-Shadow" make you "Jesus-Ready!"
