Day 35
Laughter at Last

Story Narration

The time finally came! Just as God promised, Sarah had a baby boy. Abraham was 100 years old, and Sarah was 90. It was a miracle! They named the baby Isaac, which means "He Laughs" or "Laughter." Before, Sarah laughed because she didn't believe. Now, she laughed because she was so full of joy! She said, "God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me."

Abraham held his tiny son. He remembered the stars in the sky. God had kept His promise. One star was born.

Orthodox Theological Explanation

Promises kept! That is the theme of this day. God is never late. He might not be early, but He is never late.

The name Isaac is a reminder that God turns our doubt into joy. Imagine a grandma having a baby"it is funny and wonderful! God loves to do impossible things so that we know He is the one who did it.

Isaac was the "child of promise." Through him, the whole nation of Israel would be built.

Daily Christian Application

You can be sure that God is a perfect promise-keeper who is never late and never forgets to take care of His children, just as He finally gave Abraham and Sarah their long-awaited baby boy. When your wait feels like it’s taking forever, try to stay joyful and remember that God is working on a miracle that is even better than what you asked for. The name "Isaac" means laughter, and it reminds us that God loves to fill our lives with happiness and surprises that make us smile from ear to ear. Next time you have a big reason to celebrate, be sure to laugh out loud and tell everyone that God is the one who brought this joy into your life. Your laughter and your happiness are beautiful ways to show the world that trusting in God’s perfect timing always leads to a wonderful Result.
